Whooosh! And there goes another year.
It's been awhile since I've seriously updated my DA journal and I figured now is as good as a time as any. Especially since I'm trying to avoid actually doing any sort of work the day after a really really good party. It's the second semester of my exchange and I have to say that though I didn't really miss home that much in the first semester, I'm starting to feel just a little homesick. It's a bit of a dilemma because on one hand, I do miss Vancouver (I'll never complain about paying $10+ for a meal ever again) but on the other, when I do leave, I'm going to miss all the new friends I've made and the atmosphere of this gorgeous city. What I won't miss, is the amount of work that I have to do for my classes. I'll never complain about reading assignments back home EVER again.

Art wise, I've been kinda lazy in terms of "completed" works. I've just been doing random doodles and figure drawings when I can. I've moved away from more anime influences. That's really thanks to Deadpool since I finally decided to pick up the Skrull invasion tie in. Busted a gut laughing then proceeded to check out previous issues. I'm going to say that DP is now my second muse. I've started to focus more on muscular structure and played with dynamic poses a bit more. It helps that Rob's an animator so he could give me tips. It does give me more incentive to draw&ink more Guilty gear characters.

Ugh, the fact that I'm getting back to Vancouver June 16th means that I'm going to miss AnimeEvolution. It feels a bit weird that I'm going to be missing my cosplay fix. Though this does make me consider going to Comic-con the following year after that. After traveling Europe a bit, it does feel like it's a shame that I don't travel a lot more in North America especially since it's relatively closeby. Hell, I haven't even been in Montreal or Toronto yet! Will definitely have to remedy that some time. Now that I'm twenty-one, Vegas is also now a viable option.
